From first call to opening day in four clear steps
Most investors move from discovery call to open doors in about fourteen weeks. Here is exactly what happens, what you do, and what we do at each stage.
Discovery call
Week 1. A free 30-minute conversation about your budget, schedule and goals. We answer your first questions and tell you honestly whether franchising looks like a good fit right now.
What you do
- Share your budget range and weekly hours honestly
- Bring your biggest questions and worries
What we do
- Listen first, then explain the full path and timeline
- Send a written recap with suggested next steps
What you do
- Meet shortlisted brands and visit nearby outlets
- Compare how each option fits your life, not just its brochure
What we do
- Build a shortlist of vetted brands matched to your profile
- Arrange introductions and sit in on early brand calls
Match and shortlist
Weeks 2-3. You meet two or three brands that fit your capital, schedule and strengths. We compare them side by side so you choose with clear eyes.
Due diligence and funding
Weeks 4-9. The careful part. You review the franchise disclosure document with a lawyer, call current owners, and line up sensible funding while we check every number with you.
What you do
- Read the disclosure document and call existing franchisees
- Apply for funding with documents we help you prepare
What we do
- Review costs, royalties and contract terms in plain language
- Join your lender calls and flag risks before you commit
What you do
- Complete training, hire your opening team, open your doors
- Work the 90-day checklist one week at a time
What we do
- Coordinate site setup, training and launch-week support
- Check in monthly for the first 12 months
Launch and grow
Weeks 10-14 and beyond. Training, site setup and a 90-day launch checklist carry you to opening day, and our monthly check-ins continue through your first year.
What it costs you
Our advice is free for the investor. Partner brands pay us a fee only when you sign, and never before.
We will always tell you our fee arrangement in writing before you commit to anything, and if none of our brands fit, we will say so and point you elsewhere.
What to have ready
Bring these four things to our first call and we will make the most of the 30 minutes.
- Your budget range
- How many hours a week you can give
- Your home area and any territories you prefer
- Questions for our first call
